Our good neighborhood, Capital Christian Center, is proposing to erect a large electronic sign on its vacant property facing Hwy 50 across from the church. While the proposal has yet to be formally filed for action by the County, CCC has approached the Cordova Community Planning Advisory Council (CORPAC) and RCA to inform them of its plans. CCC plans to use the sign to announce its activities, and offer it for similar community uses; it will not be used for commercial advertising. Some objections were raised at CORPAC; none were voiced at the RCA meeting and the RCA Board did not act on the plan since it is not yet formally filed for action. We report this proposal here so that the community is informed and can weigh in with support or concern as you may deem appropriate. When the proposal is filed and begins formal review and comment, we will let you know.
