A heads up to all. Recently there seems to have been a number of incidents of “fence jumping” by young men walking or riding down streets. While we’ve not hear of them all resulting in break-ins, just the fact that someone jumps over your fence is scary enough. It may be that they are looking to gain access to an adjoining yard in a way that is less visible, where they can do harm with less chance of being seen. So be sure to not make it easy to scale your fence, particularly if you have a fence along a street. And watch for evidence that someone may have scaled your fence, even if they do no harm in your yard. Also, we’ve gotten reports of cars being broken into in various areas. ALWAYS lock your car and NEVER leave valuables visible in your car. Of course, if you suspect something, immediately report it to the Sheriff at 874-5115; in an emergency dial 911.
